<p><strong>Special Thanks to Our Sponsors</strong></p>
<p>A special thanks to <a href="http://www.dbcpr.com">DBCPR + New Media</a>, who co-produced this first event with us. Thanks also to <a href="http://www.jess3.com">Jess3</a>, <a href="http://www.techcocktail.com">TechCocktail</a> and <a href="http://www.geniusrocket.com">Genius Rocket</a>. Last but not least, thanks to our friends at <a href="http://www.bakedandwired.com/">Baked &amp; Wired</a>.</p>
<p><strong>Rapid Response: Using Social Media in a Crisis</strong></p>
<p>Wilson talked about the <a href="http://www.cdc.gov/socialmedia/">HHS/FDA/CDC Social Media page</a> which was set up — in only four days — to educate consumers and enable them to spread the word about the Peanut Butter Product recall related to salmonella. He also told us about crowdsourcing the new <a href="http://www.newmedia.hhs.gov/">HHS Center for New Media</a>.</p>
<p><strong>No April Fool&#8217;s</strong></p>
<p>* The first 10 registrants each received a signed copy of <a onclick="return mugicPopWin(this, event);" oncontextmenu="mugicRightClick(this);" href="http://www.amazon.com/Corporate-Blogging-Book-Absolutely-Everything/dp/B000MR8TF4/ref=ed_oe_h">The Corporate Blogging Book </a> by Debbie Weil. (<em>One copy</em> per company or organization attending.)</p>
<p>* Every attendee got (at least) one yummy cupcake.</p>
